         Description

        Ingredients

  • Chicken, pieces- 1 kg
  • Butter- 4 tbsp
  • Yogurt- 2 tbsp
  • Fresh cream- 2 tsp
  • Ground cayenne- a pinch of
  • A pinch of saffron soaked in 3 tbsp milk
  • Ginger- 1 inch
  • Garlic pods- 4-5
  • Green chillies, chopped- 3-4
  • Onions- 3
  • Milk- 2 cup
  • Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder- 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

             For garnishing

  • Mixed nuts, chopped- 1/4 cup
  • Few coriander leaves chopped
  • Few mint leaves chopped
  • Roasted poppy seeds- 1/4 tsp

            Method

Make a paste of onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies.Melt the butter in the pan and add paste of onion.
Stir for few seconds until browned.Add yogurt, cream and pieces of chicken.Mix well and add salt, ground cyenne,red chilli powde, turmeric powder and garam masala.Cook on medium high flame until chicken tenders and turns into golden brown color.Stir with the saffron and milk.When the chicken is fully done and the sauce becomes thick, then garnish the dish with garnishing ingredients.
                              Serve hot with roti, rice or naan.

            Ingredients

  • Chicken,bites-sized pieces- 1 kg
  • Onions, finely chopped- 2
  • Green chillies- 2-3
  • Cinnamon- 1 small inch
  • One(5 ounce) can tomato paste or tomato sauce
  • One large can of stewed tomatoes or several fresh tomatoes
  • Garlic cloves, minced- 4
  • Cumin-1 tsp
  • Cayenne pepper- a pinch of
  • Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp 
  • Salt to taste

          Method

In a large stew pot combine everything except the chicken. Stir until all is well mixed. Bring to a slow boil then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about twenty minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add chicken, cover, and simmer for another half hour or more, stirring occasionally, until chicken is throughly cooked.
                 Serve hot with rice or naan.
